Pretty exciting. Our former LA Weekly video team & I won a 1st place Association of Alternative Newsmedia award for the five documentary videos we produced for our 2017 "People Issue." Building L.A. Weekly's team of videographers was a blast, and I'm eternally grateful to all our videographers/producers who were down for any crazy assignment I threw their way. They were always down for an adventure, and helped me to publish 4 short documentaries per month. For the People Issue, we decided to combine our powers and make five profiles of some fascinating figures in LA. Congrats to our People Issue video team: Peter Holderness, Hso Hkam, Gloria Maria Guadalupe Morán, Sean Deckert & Mara Shalhoup!
